This year’s NAMICON convention together for mental health was held in Minneapolis Minnesota this past week with over 1,500 people in attendance. There were more than 50+ sessions that talked about the latest research and best practices in mental health. There were therapy dogs and horses, a live performance from the Me2 orchestra and main stage events from Kenneth Cole and Dan Gillison to Percy “Master P” Miller and Carmela Wallace.

And members of the CT Suicide Advisory Board Torry Bernard NAMI CT, Grace Grinnell co-vice president NAMI Farmington Valley, Steve MacHattie LCSW Charter Oak Family Center and Valerie Lepoutre NAMI CT lead a powerful session on suicide and mental health.
